Saturday starts with some sunshine, but clouds will be on the increase for the afternoon ahead of a cold front. Showers and storms are expected during the afternoon into the evening. A First Alert that some storms could be strong with the main threats being locally heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and hail. Highs on Saturday in the low to mid 80s.

Due to the increased potential for severe thunderstorms through this afternoon and into the early evening, the rest of today is a First Alert Weather Day.

Temperatures will continue to climb this weekend and the upcoming workweek. Feels-like temperatures, heat and humidity combined, will climb to dangerous levels which could lead to heat related illnesses.
