LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - A death has been reported at the Lawton Correctional Facility according to a GEO group spokesperson. The death is being investigated as a homicide. Later this evening we received a statement from the facility about the incident.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Authorities are searching for Jody Patterson who walked away from Clara Waters Community Corrections Center in Oklahoma City. Patterson is 49 years old and is serving a 5-year sentence for burglary out of Pottawatomie County. ODOC said he walked away from the corrections center at 11:25 a.m. on Monday.
