It’s no coincidence that Angel Reese sat out on the same night that the Chicago Sky suffered their worst defeat of the season. This came in the form of a 95-57 blowout loss against the Seattle Storm at Wintrust Arena on Thursday night.

Angel Reese is playing some of the best basketball of her career, but the Sky might need to battle without her tonight.

It is unclear when exactly Reese sustained the back issue. The 6-foot-3 forward looked fine on Tuesday as she put up an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double in Chicago’s loss to the Minnesota Lynx, but she was suddenly listed as questionable to play leading into Thursday’s contest.

Sky forward Angel Reese will not play in Wednesday afternoon's game against the Atlanta Dream due to a leg injury.

According to WNBA reporter Karli Bell, Reese entered the day as questionable and was considered a game-time decision for the matchup against the Storm. Moments before the game, Reese came out of the tunnel in street clothes and the Sky officially ruled her out of the matchup.
