The incident is among a series of flight safety incidents across North America in recent weeks, including a deadly plane collision in Washington D.C. in January.

A Delta flight that had just taken off from Boston Logan International Airport had to quickly return after a “smoky odor” was detected in the cabin shortly after takeoff, the airline said. The plane landed safely on Sunday morning and none of the 92 people on board were injured, Delta said.
