Nearly a month after the devastating mid-air collision near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) that claimed 67 lives, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is under renewed scrutiny following two aborted landings on Tuesday.

A near miss, recorded by airport surveillance camera, shows a Southwest Airlines plane on its final landing approach, as a small private jet rolls right into its path. The Southwest plane quickly climbs again - out of harm's way - but not before rattling the nerves of those on board and those who see the footage as part of a recent string of events.
