The U.S. Supreme Court decided that it will take up a case involving a New York law that Catholic Charities takes issue with. New York passed a law that mandated employer-funded insurance to cover the price of medically necessary abortions.

The U.S. Supreme Court gave a boost on Monday to a challenge by the Catholic Diocese of Albany to a 2017 New York state regulation that generally requires employer-sponsored health insurance plans to cover abortions.

The question for the justices is whether the centers may pursue a First Amendment challenge to a state subpoena seeking donor information in federal court.
