Charles Barkley doesn’t support Donald Trump on everything, but the NBA broadcaster believes sports teams like the Philadelphia Eagles shouldn’t boycott Trump’s White House over political disagreements. Trump formally invited the Super Bowl champion Eagles to the White House last week, but the team has yet to announce its plans.

The Eagles faced backlash over an anonymously sourced report before the Super Bowl claiming a White House trip was a “massive no” for team leadership.

During his first term in office, Trump abruptly disinvited the Eagles on the eve of their planned trip in 2018.

Reports that the Eagles have declined a White House invitation are unsubstantiated. Trump announced Tuesday that he planned to formally invite the team for a White House visit, and no members of the Eagles ownership, front office, management, nor any players have publicly said the team has declined or will decline an invitation.
