The sport of boxing lost one of its greatest legends in "Big" George Foreman this week. The former two-time heavyweight champion headlined the some of the most iconic boxing events in his heyday, Foreman sharing the ring with Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali across 81 professional bouts.

George Foreman, the two-time world heavyweight boxing champion and Olympic gold medalist whose legendary rivalry with Muhammad Ali culminated in the famous ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ title bout, died Friday according to a verified social media account dedicated to Foreman.

Boxing legend George Foreman, "a force for good," has died, according to a statement from his family on Instagram Friday night. Foreman, 76, received many accolades from his work in the boxing ring, including being crowned heavyweight world champion twice and an Olympic gold medalist. Foreman went on to become a businessman after his boxing career.
