General Motors is recalling nearly 600,000 trucks and SUVs over an engine defect. Some owners have long complained about issues, including in a lawsuit.

Anyone who owns the models mentioned in the recall can take their vehicles to a Cadillac, Chevrolet or GMC dealership for an engine inspection and engine repair or replacement free of charge.

General Motors (GM) is voluntarily recalling about 710,000 Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles for potential engine damage. The recall includes models that have a 6.2-liter V-8 engine.
