Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday terminated two government employees from service for their alleged terror links, officials said.

The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has dismissed two employees, Naika and Abbas, for links to terrorism under Article 311, bringing the total such dismissals to 76 since 2019.

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday terminated two government employees, including a school teacher, from services for their alleged involvement with anti-national activities and terror links.

During investigation, "his role as an Hizbul Mujahideen aide facilitating attacks on police personnel was also unearthed", officials said.

The Lieutenant Governor invoked 311 (2) (c) of the Constitution to remove Abdul Rehman Naika (pharmacist) and Zahir Abbas (school teacher) after investigation by law enforcement and intelligence agencies clearly established that they were terror sympathisers.
