The Democratic National Committee has voted to hold new elections for two vice chair positions currently held by David Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta.

The DNC determined it failed to follow internal rules in its February officer election. Separately, Hogg’s plans to back primaries against incumbent Democrats stirred controversy.

This decision follows a complaint by a former candidate, who alleged that the process did not adhere to the party's rules.
