Authorities in Arizona are investigating after the home of Diamondbacks star Ketel Marte was burglarized earlier this week, while he was in Atlanta playing in the All-Star Game. It's another in a string of burglaries among athletes,
Jacob Betancourt, 31, was arrested on June 26 and indicted on charges including luring a minor for sexual exploitation, child enticement, and transmitting obscene materials to minors. He's being held on a $75,000 cash-only bond.
Incidentally, Marte will get to play alongside Machado, the starter at third base, for the National League in the All-Star game. Fernando Tatis Jr. also earned an All-Star selection as an outfielder, but is on the reserves.
