Sunday is a First Alert Weather Day for strong to severe thunderstorms. In the mountains, count on rain and thunderstorms with a cold mix above 10,000 feet.

A large chunk of the middle part of the country will see wet, potentially stormy weather as a system moves through the Plains.

While many may have hoped for a preview of summer weather over Memorial Day Weekend, forecasts showed cooler temperatures and some lingering rain on Saturday before drier and steadily warmer conditions arrive Sunday and Monday.
