The Pittsburgh Steelers are likely to have a veteran starting quarterback in 2025, but the team would be wise to add a young signal-caller in the NFL Draft to give some hope for the future. A recent mock draft from Pro Football Focus has the Steelers doing just that.

The Pittsburgh Steelers never hide the positions they target in the NFL Draft, and 2025 appears to be no different. Pittsburgh is focusing heavily on the defensive line, and on Wednesday, they huddled in on a new position -- wide receiver.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have to build a core they can win within the NFL, so they are placing a premium on the NFL Draft. Team president Art Rooney II acknowledged the NFL Draft as a huge way for the team to build in what is a retooling period for the Steelers despite their playoff aspirations.

It’s a forgone conclusion that the Steelers will draft at least one player at the Senior Bowl. They’ve taken at least one participant in the All-Star Game in every draft since 2007, and there is no reason to think that will change.
