Demonstrators plan to gather in downtown Grand Rapids on Saturday as part of the nationwide “No Kings” movement. The Grand Rapids Police Department said it's prepared for the large crowds and plans to keep both demonstrators and the public safe.

Protests organized by the "No Kings" Movement are scheduled to take place Saturday, June 14th across the U.S., including at Rosa Parks Circle in Grand Rapids.

More than 1600 protests and rallies are planned throughout the country and world on Saturday as a part of the “No Kings” movement.

Protesters across Michigan and the United States are rallying Saturday afternoon in a demonstration organizers are calling a "national day of defiance."

The Lansing rally was scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. at the capitol, with speeches, conversations with politicians, games, and more.

"Plain and simple, we have a convicted felon in office and I think he's ruining America and democracy instead of making it great again."

A number of "No Kings" rallies are planned for Saturday, with an emphasis on a nonviolent response to President Trump's administration. Among the rallies planned are a number in the Detroit area and throughout Michigan.
