Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey, who was already dealing with a finger injury, left the game against Portland midway through the third quarter after appearing to hurt his back during a fall. Maxey got up and went to the locker room after falling and didn't return. He finished with five points and six assists in 23 minutes in the loss.

Dealing with a non-COVID illness, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown was in danger of missing Wednesday’s action against the Portland Trail Blazers. With Brown on the injury report against Portland, he was a name to keep an eye on ahead of the Celtics’ matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Celtics ruled out three starters for their Wednesday night matchup with the Trail Blazers, including Jayson Tatum's first DNP since Dec. 23.
