County commissioners extended the moratorium on data centers for another 180 days after a discussion Sept. 1, which was witnessed by more people than usual.

A couple of posts about data centers on the Mostly Moultrie Facebook page spurred a large number of residents to attend at the County Commission’s regularly scheduled work session Sept. 1.

The City of Moultrie will receive $1 million for water system improvements in the Seventh Street target area, the DCA said. The project will benefit 184 people, all of whom are low-to-moderate income.
