September’s Supplemental Security Income payment, worth up to $967, will go out to recipients in 24 days. While SSI payments typically go out at the start of every month, September’s payment will go out on Aug.

The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit payments will be distributed twice in August - on Friday, Aug 1 and on Friday, Aug. 29. The second August payment is scheduled because the first day of September lands on a holiday - Labor Day.

Supplemental Security Income recipients can look forward to receiving two payments this August, with the first being sent out by the end of this week. This can sometimes happen depending on what days of the week a pay date falls on or if it falls on a holiday. We'll tell you when to expect both payments this month below.
