Ulta Beauty, the largest cosmetics retailer in the U.S. announced Thursday it is ending its partnership with Target. An announcement from the company says the brands mutually agreed to end the Ulta Beauty at Target shop-in-shop partnership that launched in 2021.

A 4-year-old girl, her grandfather and a Target employee have been identified as the victims killed in a shooting outside of a Target store in Austin, Texas, according to police.
In Target’s first-quarter earnings report for 2025, it revealed that its comparable store sales dipped by 3.8% year-over-year. Also, according to recent data from Placer.ai, the number of customers visiting Target stores per location shrank by 4.8% year-over-year during the quarter.
