Hundreds of protests at Tesla showrooms around the world are expected today, including multiple ones organized in provinces across Canada.

The sales numbers provided by the company-owned shops allowed them to claim tens of millions in government rebates. Now those numbers are under scrutiny.

Hundreds of “Tesla Takedown” demonstrations are taking place in the United States, Canada and Europe as activists ramp up their opposition to CEO Elon Musk’s efforts to slash federal government staffing and budgets.

Although Tesla produces 100% of its vehicles in the United States at its Texas and California factories, there is truly no 100% “American-made” car — as Musk himself contended Wednesday after the tariffs announcement. “Important to note that Tesla is NOT unscathed here,” Musk posted on X. “The tariff impact on Tesla is still significant.”
