The Toronto Maple Leafs need to add a defenseman to bolster their blueline, and a new report has emerged that sees Noah Dobson suddenly available on the market.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will look to be active ahead of the March 7 trade deadline but one analyst thinks they should trade David Kampf.

As Friedman pointed out, the Maple Leafs don't have a first-round pick in the 2025 draft. Toronto, however, has its first-round pick in the 2026 draft as well as all picks from 2027 on. Without such a premium draft asset to dangle, the Leafs may need to move a top prospect worth that type of selection to complete a meaningful trade.
