A federal judge ruled again Monday that work may resume on the offshore Revolution Wind project, despite the Trump administration’s efforts to halt construction for the second time.
The Pawcatuck Borderlands is a vast, unfragmented forest stretching from southern Rhode Island into Connecticut. It is the largest contiguous forest between Boston and Washington, D.C., covering about 136,000 acres. Conservation groups consider the forest a critical corridor for wildlife, especially as climate change alters habitats.
The Department of Interior last month ordered work to stop on the offshore wind farm, citing national security reasons.
