The New York Yankees have endured a flood of injury woes just four games into their spring training schedule, with another pitcher lost on Tuesday.

Scott Effross of the New York Yankees has battled back from numerous injuries. He has overcome several back surgeries and most recently Tommy John surgery. He came into this spring with high hopes. The hopes faded away temporarily Tuesday afternoon as he exited the game against the Minnesota Twins after only throwing one pitch in the eighth inning at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers.

Yankees reliever Scott Effross exited Tuesday’s spring training game against the Twins after throwing one pitch with a hamstring injury. Effross grabbed at his leg before he walked off the mound with a team trainer, according to the New York Post.

Baseball's oldest rivalry will have to wait. After initially pushing the game from 1:05 to 4:05 p.m., Monday's Red Sox-Yankees game at JetBlue Park has been canceled altogether due to heavy rain.
