An Arizona zoo opened late due to a 3-year-old giraffe escaping from her enclosure to make a meal out of a nearby tree.

Rather than panicking or straying far, the young giraffe named Msituni stayed in one location, exploring her surroundings and helping herself to a nearby mesquite tree. Officials say Msituni returned to her habitat on her own.

A 3-year-old giraffe snuck out of her enclosure at an Arizona zoo and was found snacking on a nearby tree, officials said. Msituni was found just before 9 a.m. March 5, the Reid Park Zoo said in a Facebook post. She is an adult reticulated giraffe that joined the Tucson zoo last month, zoo officials said in a Feb. 19 news release.
