The late show host mocked the president’s remarks during his opening monologue, but reserved much of his frustration for the Democrats

Stephen Colbert is calling out Democrats following President Donald Trump’s primetime address to a joint session of Congress. Following Trump’s speech on Tuesday…Colbert went live on CBS’ The Late Show.

Colbert, the CBS late night host, tore into Trump’s speech during his Tuesday show and criticized the address for being “filled with useful lies, and applauded by useless idiots.” At one point, he took aim at Democrats during the speech for silently holding up placards that read “false” and “lies.”
