Josette Jaucian has shepherded Bucky Badgers through occasional hijinks, countless pushups and, yes, even a few funerals.

She was attacked by mounted police officers on "Bloody Sunday" in Selma. Her efforts, along with "Bloody Sunday," were significant in the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
