Former Eagles star A.J. Brown is expected to miss time after suffering a suspected high-ankle sprain in his Patriots debut

New England Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown is believed to have sustained a high-ankle sprain during a Week 1 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Seahawks are consensus 3.5-point favorites in tonight's game, which is slightly more than the typical spread given to home teams, all else being equal. Seattle is -175 on the moneyline, while the Patriots are +145. The over/under is set at 44.5.

Fantasy football enthusiasts were not eating good during the first half of Wednesday's season-opening matchup between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

Mike Vrabel and the Patriots wouldn't give up a haul for A.J. Brown unless they plan to use him, and Vrabel, better than most, knows how dangerous Brown can be for opposing defenses. Brown spent three years with Vrabel's Titans and averaged over 62.5 receiving yards per game in all three seasons.

A trade seemed likely, and it eventually happened, with the All-Pro WR joining the New England Patriots. The move was one the Eagles were practically forced into making. But in the eyes of some rival NFL teams, it might've been a mistake.
