SpaceX's Starlink 12-1 liftoff carried 23 internet satellites — including a dozen with the direct-to-cell capabilities — up into low-Earth orbit.

SpaceX plans to launch the rocket Tuesday night with two dozen new Starlink satellites in tow. The satellites will be deployed into low-Earth orbit to help expand the company’s global high-speed internet network.

The Starlink 6-65 mission lifted off on the heels of SpaceX's Tuesday launch, which marked the company's 400th successful Falcon 9 rocket mission.
