Justin Thomas takes 1-shot lead over Scottie Scheffler in the Hero World Challenge
Justin Thomas was long off the tee and made a few long putts on the back nine to overtake Scottie Scheffler with a 6-under 66 and build a one-shot lead Saturday over golf’s best player going into the final round of the Hero World Challenge in Nassau, Bahamas.

Thomas opened in 6-under 66, including six birdies in eight holes on the back nine, and is solo second and two shots behind Young. A birdie putt on the 18th hole grazed the edge of the cup, and if it would’ve fallen, Thomas would’ve shot 29 on the back with five straight birdies to finish.
