But if the Wildcats want to eventually supplant Oklahoma and Texas as a perennial Big 12 power, they need to aim higher.

Rutgers football is headed to Phoenix to play Kansas State in the Rate Bowl on Dec. 26 at Chase Field. It’s the second-straight bowl appearance for the Scarlet Knights, who earned bowl eligibility after going 7-5 during the regular season in their best campaign in a decade.
