Out-of-control wildfires are ripping across parts of Los Angeles, leading to at least five deaths, burning down hundreds of buildings, and prompting more than 130,000 people to flee their homes in America's second-largest city.

Thousands of people have been forced to flee after "unprecedented" Palisades, Eaton and Hurst fires ravage Los Angeles County.

For the Palisades fire alone, over 30,000 residents were evacuated from the Pacific Palisades community. In total between the four fires, at least 70,000 people have been ordered to evacuate.
