Five people were killed after a small plane belonging to the Mexican Navy crashed off the coast of Galveston, Texas, on Monday, officials said in a statement.

A small Mexican navy plane carrying eight people on a medical mission crashed Monday near Galveston, Texas, killing at least two people, officials said.

The National Transportation Safety Board said the crash involved a Beech King Air 350i airplane that was operated by the Mexican Navy.

A small plane crashed Wednesday afternoon in North Sacramento's Robla area, injuring two people on board, authorities said. The plane crashed about 12:30 p.m. in an open field near Rio Linda Boulevard and Claire Avenue. Sacramento Fire Department personnel responded to the scene.
