BREEZY POINT — After one season, Northern Lakes head coach Mike Randolph resigned, he confirmed in a phone interview with the Dispatch Tuesday, March 11. Randolph guided the Lightning to a 20-10-1 record this season, which included their first state tournament berth since 2021 and their first state tournament win in program history.

BREEZY POINT, Minn. (KVRR) -Former Duluth East head coach Mike Randolph has resigned as head coach of the Northern Lakes boys hockey team. He announced the news at the team banquet Monday, according to David La Vaque of the Star Tribune.

Randolph, who owns the most career victories as a Minnesota high school boys hockey coach with 727, led the team to the Class 1A quarterfinals this season.
