A hit-and-run crash left a pedestrian dead Wednesday, the Sacramento Police Department said. Officers believe DUI was a factor in the woman's death.

A driver in Sacramento struck and killed a woman Wednesday evening, police said. Around 8 p.m., officers responded to a crash near N B and Dos Rios streets. When they arrived, they found a woman partially in the roadway.

Officers arrived at the scene and found an injured woman who had been hit by a vehicle while walking along North B Street, Gamble said. Medics arrived and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the woman’s name and age after her family has been notified.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Officers arrested a man in connection to a hit-and-run crash that left a woman injured. According to the Sacramento Police Department, a woman was hospitalized after she was hit by a vehicle while riding a scooter in the area of Fair Oaks Boulevard and Campus Commons Road.

Officers responded to the crash on North B Street near Dos Rios Street shortly before 8 p.m. The woman died on the scene, officials said.
