Per Deadline, Mufasa: The Lion King is projected to earn $11.5 million through Sunday and $15.5 million through the four-day MLK holiday weekend. If the estimate holds it will boost Mufasa’s running domestic tally to $209.7 million since its Dec. 20, 2024, opening.

It's going to be a rather dull MLK weekend at the box office, that is unless Sony's R-rated femme comedy 'One of Them Days' surprises.

Unfortunately for Universal/Blumhouse, it doesn't look like director Leigh Whannell is going to be able to repeat the success of his take on The Invisible
