Jul 7, 2024 · This Plymouth Arrow Sport truck is even nicer than mine, other than the interior, but that’s easily fixable. As with the Dodge D-50 trucks, Plymouth’s Arrow line of pickups were rebadged Mitsubishi Forte trucks and the Arrow was made from 1979 to 1982.

A pickup version of the Arrow was released in 1979 which was also available with the 2.6 L engine, but they shared few, if any parts. The Arrow's styling influence can clearly be seen in the Plymouth Arrow Truck and its cousins; the Dodge D-50 and Mitsubishi Mighty Max pickups.

Aug 9, 2021 · The Mitsubishi-based Dodge D-50 (later called the Ram 50) and the Plymouth Arrow Pickup were released to almost no fanfare. The D-50 and the Arrow were identical, only differing in steering wheel badges and emblems.

Mar 25, 2022 · Plymouth made the Arrow Truck from 1979 to 1982 and they were rebadged Mitsubishi Forte trucks which Dodge also used for their Dodge D-50 and Dodge Ram 50 pickups. Mitsubishi also offered them as the Forte in Japan and eventually, the Mighty Max here in the US.

Sharing the Colt’s drivetrain and chassis, the Arrow measured in with a 92.1-inch wheelbase, 4.2 inches less than its Dodge sibling. The engine was the standard 1600 cc with an optional 2000 cc overhead cam version; both were four-cylinder hemis.

And just as Dodge had to share the Colt line with Plymouth, to varying degrees, so did they also share Mitsubishi’s new compact truck. The result was the only post-war RWD Plymouth pickup, the Arrow.

Between 1979 and 1982, Chrysler sold Mitsubishi Triton pickup trucks as the Dodge Ram 50 and the Plymouth Arrow. The Plymouth Arrow pickup trucks were offered with a range of inline four engines, and were no longer sold in North America after 1982.
