Apr 14, 2023 · Dale gets under my skin, he is so annoying and it’s partly due to the acting. Had Scott Wilson (Hershel) portrayed Dale I probably would have liked him more. I liked his death as it demonstrated he severely underestimated the threat of this world. I would have liked to see him confront the realities of people as the eminent danger.

Dale was too naive to see that even though Shane was wrong, he made a valid point about survival. Dale couldn’t understand why humanity couldn’t prevail. He was wrong, but everything he said served a purpose. Had they gone through with it, it could have very much changed their perspective on people and led to horrible outcomes down the road.
