The Louisville Police Department would like your help to prevent and solve crime. Security cameras can be a powerful tool in crime deterrence, your participation in this program will expand our investigative abilities and help identify potential witnesses or suspects.

The City of Louisville provides water and sewer utilities to residents and businesses. Utilities are billed on a monthly basis and payments are due on the 20th of the month in which bills are sent. A 10% penalty is charged on past due bills. Returned payment fee is $30.

The City of Louisville Council consists of five members, elected on a nonpartisan basis. Council positions are at-large and members represent the interests of the City as a whole.

The City of Louisville imposes a local tax of 2% on all income earned while resident and or working within the city limits. A reduced credit of 60% for taxes paid to other municipalities, which shall not exceed a maximum of one and two-tenths percent (1.2%) of the taxpayer’s taxable income in such other municipality.

In accordance with the Louisville Income Tax Ordinance, all resident individuals are required to file with Louisville’s Tax Office and remit any tax that may be due.

The City of Louisville has entered into an opt-out electric aggregation program with Dynegy Energy Services East, LLC (Formally Energy Harbor) for the term of June 2023 (July 2023 bill) to June 2025 at 6.57 cents/kWh ($.0657/kWh).
