Mark and I fishing the flats at Cedar Springs. Water was low and clear and the Mountin Grubz dominated. The trout were holding close to the bank on the opposite side in about two feet of water. To get a drift we used Trout Magnet floats and set the depth about two feet so they would drag across the bottom. We caught several using this technique. Starting a cold, rainy, day off at Cedar Springs free fishing day for veterans. I started off on the flats instead of fishing the stocking holes to catch leftover trout. I was using the pink Appalachian Baits Cricket Spinner and it didn't take long to get results.
