21-July-2023; Snowberry Clearwing Moth (Hemaris diffinis) feeding on buttonbush at Dragonfly Pond. They are also known as: bumblebee moth, flying lobster and hummingbird moth. It can be confused with its close relative the reddish colored hummingbird clearwing moth (Hemaris thysbe).
